David Byram – Probate Manager
David joined Pearson Rowe as Probate Manager in 2007 after a career in private banking which spanned over 40 years.
David provides comprehensive advice on wills, estate and trust administration and has many years’ experience in this area of the law. His expertise includes advising clients on inheritance tax liabilities and care home charges.
David is experienced in working alongside executors seeking guidance on the administration of an estate and the next of kin where assets have been distributed under the laws of intestacy.
He also acts on behalf of deputies and attorneys under Lasting Powers of Attorney and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Financial Services. |
Alisha Noreen – Residential Conveyancing Solicitor
Rachel joined Pearson Rowe in 2004 having worked in conveyancing since 1988, gaining essential qualifications and experience.
With an in-depth knowledge of this area of the law, Rachel specialises in residential conveyancing which involves working with clients in all residential property matters including sale, purchase and remortgage transactions and landlord and tenant issues.
Rachel’s aim is to ensure that her clients have a smooth purchase and/or sale experience right through to completion.

Mike Deeley – PI and Clinical Negligence Solicitor
Mike joined Pearson Rowe in 1995 to head up the growing personal injury department. He is responsible for developing it into the highly successful division it has now become.
Specialising in a broad range of higher value personal injury & clinical negligence cases, Mike has particular expertise in cases where animals are involved.
Mike is a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
When not at work, Mike – who was previously a competitive marathon runner – now enjoys running a folk club and performing regularly at local venues. |

Jodi joined Pearson Rowe in 2005 and is now a Director at the firm. She specialises in private client work such as wills and probate. In addition, Jodi provides comprehensive advice to individuals looking to take care of a loved one’s affairs, either through putting lasting powers of attorney in place or by assisting with deputyship applications to the Court of Protection.
Currently part way through her Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) qualifications, Jodi is on her way to joining 20,000 members across 95 countries that advise families on a range of issues such as providing for a husband or wife after the death of a spouse while protecting the interests of any children and ensuring that a family business passes safely from one generation to another. |
Brian Flint – Commercial Lawyer

Brian advises on a wide-range of issues relating to property litigation, and is recognised as a leading expert on the Party wall etc. Act 1996. Using this knowledge he regularly advises on rights and liabilities arising from breaches of the Party Wall Act and is one of only a handful of solicitors in the West Midlands recognised by Pyramus and Thisbe Club, the trade body for Party Wall Act professionals.
Brian also has extensive expertise is commercial property disputes, company law, civil litigation, contested wills and estates and regulatory litigation.
He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), is recommended by the Law Society for professional negligence cases and has experience of acting as an advocate in the civil courts.
Brian has also acted for the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in interventions to close down solicitors practices which has given him the experience and knowledge to advise solicitors looking to wind up their firm in a proper manner.
Brian is adept at resolving issues for his clients in a speedy and economically efficient manner and derives great satisfaction from achieving a positive outcome on their behalf.

James McDowall – Solicitor
James is an associate and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1973.James’ area of expertise includes residential conveyancing, wills and probate matters.
James has a wealth of experience dealing with all residential property matters from straightforward conveyancing – including sale, purchase and remortgage transactions for both freehold and leasehold properties – to complex enfranchisement and lease extensions.
His expertise also involves providing comprehensive advice to clients on wills and probate matters, offering guidance and assistance to a range of clients in this specialist area of the law. |
